The story of the hotel
Ostrea is not just a hotel name, it’s also a latin name for the oyster, one of the most recognisable symbols of Mali Ston. In 1998, Kralj family has decided to renew a traditional family house and transform it into a small family hotel in the South of Dalmatia.
Our goal was to transform traditional houses into touristic objects in order to protect them from devastation, but also to give them a new chance to shine thus, preserving them as valuable bits of history, available to everyone.
Location
Hotel Ostrea is located in the center of Mali Ston. The rooms are facing the bay and they offer a glimpse of history. The hotel is the previous home of fishermen, sailors and field workers. Thick stone walls provide guests with a unique experience.
“Lounge bar” Mlinica is part of a hotel. The picturesque terrace gives you a chance to enjoy the view and savor some of the most tasteful traditional delicatesse meals.
